By placing an order you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Revisions
Semi-custom projects include 2 rounds of revisions after the initial proof. Further revisions will be billed at $75 each ($35 for Save the Dates), so please take a few days to look over the proof and submit all revisions at once.

Availability

We cannot guarantee the papers, envelopes or embellishments displayed on our website will be available from our suppliers, particularly during peak seasons. If your selections are unavailable we will notify you and present you with alternative options of the same quality. Our services are offered on a first come, first served basis. Occasionally, we may become fully booked and unable to accept new orders. We recommend placing your order as early as possible to secure your place in our production schedule. In the event that an order is placed that we are unable to fulfill a refund will be given.

Production Times

After the plate proof is signed, our production turnaround is 15-20 days, unless any specially ordered items require longer sourcing or shipping. Need it sooner and maybe didn’t let us know about that ahead of time? We will work with you as best we possibly can to meet your deadlines, but that super rush service is an additional $250. Please be aware that additional design revisions, delays in feedback or providing wording or other information will delay your estimated completion date.

Approving Your Proof

Before we order printing plates for your project we will ask that you carefully check your final proof for accuracy of information, spelling, grammar, etc, and sign off on it. As we cannot know whether the phone number, date, or other information is correct, it is your responsibility to certify accuracy, and we are not responsible for errors consistent with the final proof you have approved. Once the plates for your project are ordered, any changes to the text, information, or colors will require us to bill for new plates and possibly reprinting of your project. We recommend that you print the final proof to final size to make sure you’re looking at the type size as it will be printed.

Letterpress Printing and Color Matching

Letterpress is one of the oldest forms of printing and a handmade process. Therefore, each print  will be unique and may have subtle variations in color or impression—this is part of the beauty of letterpress and shows that each piece was carefully handmade. We do our very best to match ink colors to digital mocks and digital color samples, but matching colors from screens is inexact, as each screen presents colors differently, so the color on the pieces you receive might look slightly different than it appeared on a screen. Please note that with letterpress printing, large areas of color fill (e.g. over 2”x2”) will have a velvety, washed look and not be as opaque as in a digital mock-up.

Confidentiality
We reserve the right to use images of the finished work for promotional materials including but not limited to: our website, social media, work samples, etc. If you would prefer to not have your name, return address or contact information pictured, please let us know.

Privacy policy

Our privacy policy may be read in full here. By using our services you acknowledge that you have read and understood the policies included therein.

Intellectual property

Shipwright & Co. retains the rights to the intellectual property (the designs) that we create for our clients. While there are instances where we will provide design files for clients to have components made that we do not do in-house (signage, laser cutting, etc.), these files may not be used to create items for resale.

While we are happy to look at samples of other designer’s work as inspiration, we will not directly copy the work of another designer.

Shipping

You are responsible for all shipping costs. We ship via USPS with tracking and a signature required for delivery. If you prefer us to use a different carrier at your expense, just let us know. Shipwright & Co. is not responsible for any damage during shipping. We carefully package everything to avoid damage, but if your job suffers damage in transit, you must file a claim against the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) to recover the value. Packages can be fully insured in shipping at your request and expense. In the unlikely event that some pieces of the suite are damaged in shipping, we will do our best to re-print the order as quickly as possible as a service to you, but will have to charge you the full price for replacement. The balance of your order and shipping must be paid before your project is shipped.

Service modification
Shipwright & Co. is not responsible for unforeseen circumstances, natural or environmental disasters, work-stoppages, or "acts of God" which may make it impossible to complete your job in a reasonable amount of time. Our complete obligation to you may be discharged in its entirety by refund of your deposit, without prejudice, and disclaiming any secondary consequences or costs that you may incur. It is our full intention to complete every job, but if there is a reason that we choose not to move forward with any part of your project, you will be refunded for that portion of the project.

Limitation of liability
The pieces will be delivered to you “as is.” Shipwright & Co. disclaims all warranties, express or implied. Shipwright & Co. will under no circumstances be liable for any damages resulting from this agreement.
