We’ll start by having a meeting in which we’ll talk about your wedding; its location, style and the general vibe you’re imagining. We’ll also spend some time getting to know each other a bit, so I can be sure that the finished pieces reflect who you are as people and your unique voice. Everything that we print starts as a drawing (like, on actual paper) and I’ll probably send you some rough sketches of various ideas. Once we nail down a direction, I’ll dig in and present you with drafts of your suite that can be refined and edited from there.

For fully custom suites, the time from initial meeting to project completion is generally around 6-8 months. Don’t forget that you’ll want to get them in the mail 10-12 weeks before your wedding, so starting the process almost a year out (especially if you’d like Save the Dates) is not crazy.

For semi-custom suites, once we’ve tailored the piece to your wedding, we can get printing! Semi-custom suites can usually be turned around within 2-3 weeks.

So glad you asked! We can make so many fun things. Maps are probably the most popular and my personal favorite. I also love making fun die-cut shapes that we can use to bind the suite together (or be a secret ticket to an after-party), envelope liners, info cards…the options are really quite limitless. We also offer digitally printed envelopes with your guest names and addresses or can refer you to a calligrapher.

The cost of custom suites can vary widely depending on many factors (number of copies, number of pieces in the suite, number of printed colors, paper stock, the scope of the design and illustrations, etc) but most clients will budget starting at around $4,000 for a fully custom suite including invitation, RSVP & envelope, an outer envelope, and design.

Semi-custom suites start at around $1,500 for 100 copies of a two-color invitation, RSVP and envelopes for both (mail-to address printed on the front of the RSVP envelope and return address printed on the back flap of the main envelope).
